Asian Civilizations Museum: Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple Gallery

This gallery, on the second floor, actually reflects parts of the temple "Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple," which fits in with the theme "faith and belief." The temple was built as a dedication to Guan Yin, who is the Goddess of Mercy. However, there are also other gods as well. During the Japanese Occupation of Singapore, which lasted from 1942 to 1945, the temple actually served as a refugee for the people.

However, in the gallery of the ACM, this exhibition actually houses numerous ancient religions collection, featuring 10 centuries worth of sculpture and art. These art pieces help identify the spread of Buddhism and Hinduism into South East Asia.
